Over the last few years, I’ve tended to use the social media platform Twitter as a place to offer some thoughts of my own, and, more important, to call attention to articles, podcasts, etc. by others worth your attention. And I’ve, of course, learned a ton from the comments and recommendations of others on Twitter.
But now Twitter’s future may be up on the air.
So we need a contingency plan to stay in touch with one another, and to be able to share reliable and interesting content. And we need to foster a community with a commitment to democracy and intelligent debate at its center.
Actually, we have such a community–the Bulwark. And so I want to encourage everyone to sign up at the Bulwark to make sure we can stay in touch.
If you want to become a member of Bulwark+ for the bargain price of $8 a month, that would be great. But you can also get lots of great content from Sarah Longwell, Tim Miller, Jonathan V. Last, Charlie Sykes, and more, for free, if you sign up.
You probably read lots of material from the Bulwark already. But why not make sure you don’t miss anything? And why not join this community worth joining?
We all love having a community to talk about politics and the world. Twitter has been a great platform for discussion and debate, but there’s no guarantee it will survive as it’s been.
The B in your Plan B should stand for Bulwark. Do join.
