Burdett A. Loomis is an emeritus professor of political science at the University of Kansas and the editor and author of many books on American politics, including Esteemed Colleagues: Civility and Deliberation in the U.S. Senate.
Marc C. Johnson is a Mansfield Center fellow at the University of Montana and the author of two books on U.S. Senate history, including most recently Tuesday Night Massacre: Four Senate Elections and the Radicalization of the Republican Party.
