Barr saying he supported Trump against wrongful and odious charges is hysterical. Please elaborate for us ignorant morons and explain how Trump was falsely charged?

This is the same guy that manipulated the Mueller Report; the first AG to be obliterated by the angry special prosecutor who compiled the report. This is the same guy who refused to defend several convictions of Trump sycophants in an appeals court leading to the dismissal of those convictions. We’re the convicted falsely charged? I don’t think so.

Barr is clearly trying to reclaim any semblance of respectability; sorry, you’re a day late and a billion short. Do us all a favor and Go away!

Totally agree with this. Barr is attempting to scrape the trump sludge off his shoes but it still smells.

I must have missed something. Barr has come out of this latest indictment slamming Trump. I’m not a Barr fan (at all) but his behavior here has been flawless.

You're right but I'll take Barr and Christie finally speaking truths if they can possibly turn some GOP heads.

Christie didn’t speak the truth at tonight’s CNN Town Hall about Biden. He made an equivalence between Trump and Biden. They both don’t care about Americans or something like that. Nonsense. Biden’s Infrastructure bill is all about helping working class Americans in the Rust Belt.

Still, it's better some Republicans at least say the obvious and criticize Trump. Barr, Bolton, and many others in his administration don't think he should be President. Not all of them are going out of their way to say so, but the more that do, then there might be a better chance the party might listen.

Barr saying Trump is bad translates to Trump is absolutely horrible.

I grew up in New York and saw the thug like grifter at work for 50 years. Incapable of earning an honest dollar he was only able to survive due to the money his father left him. Building sub standard buildings and screwing contractors and the lawyers that had to continuously pull his fat ass out the corrupt fire he was always in. Barr is a disgusting scumbag who having saved trump from the Mueller report is now trying to salvage his own reputation and as much as I hate it, it would be helpful if the MAGA assholes would believe him.

Thank God for Joe Queenan and Spy magazine back in the day. That was the only "maga" fitting for the gold standard bearer of grifting....

Same for me (grew up 10 miles from Times Square) . Trump as a page 6 joke. Worth a laugh but that's all. In my industry (insurance) when Trump would submit an application for funding - lots of money for development comes from large insurers, well the industry passed on his applications. (And yes, I know a rival insurer that reviewed and declined his application).

And yet, he kind of has to say that kind of garbage in order for the maga-adjacent to even consider listening to his main point. But odds are also good that believes all that crap about supposedly false charges.

Always seemed to me that he saw tfg as the vehicle he could use to build on his desire and belief for a strong executive. Once he ran foul of tfg, he realized he could no longer achieve his aims that way and has been a little more honest and even regularly critical since. Of course, being as partisan as he is there is no way he could ever endorse or even admit it’s acceptable to vote for a Democrat.

100%: remember, he became ag by sending a letter to Trump saying that the Russia investigation was a phony and he could defend trump.

No, the spectacle of Bill Barr being fitted for his Deep State ceremonial garb is too amusing.
