I would like, I would love, to give Erika Kirk the benefit of the doubt. But that would be counter to everything I know about her husband, her (admittedly limited) and their organization. Time will tell I suppose.
I am giving her the benefit of the doubt. She said the right words at his memorial at least. Maybe the seed of doubt in his own righteousness was even planted in Trump. Unlikely but maybe.
She said the right words and I will take her at her word but I think what we will see is a new message:
forgiveness for the killer for he knew not what he did - because the left pulled him out of the safety of his conservative family and turned him into a tool of hatred
I watched a short clip of both Kirks on his podcast. He was telling listeners that she was even more conservative than himself, and she wholeheartedly agreed. The tone of it, to me, was her wrath outweighed his.
I suppose, but IтАЩm as cynical as they come (NYтАЩer), and prefer to see the тАЬbig pictureтАЭ when it comes to this administration.
And if she believed in the mission of Turning Point USA, then she canтАЩt be that delusional to know what his true motivations were.
Turning Point is both a movement and a business. However, like all movements, they evolve into a business, and the devolve into a racket. WeтАЩre between the business and racket stage of their maturity cycle. IMHOтАж:)
White Evangelical Christian nationalism lends itself to grifting. There have always been religion scams but today it's supercharged with politics. It's a real witch's brew of toxic hate and bigotry and profit.

Yep that could easily be what happens.

Toxic hate is the profit generator. It's the entire MAGA model.
