As a fellow Baptist, I am in complete agreement with you. When did evangelicals stop listening to Christ's words? When did they stop following His guidance? It was before Trump. Right-wing hate mongers like Gingrich, Limbaugh, and Hannity did much to damage and distort the true message of Jesus and took millions of followers with them. The right needs someone truly committed to the teachings of our Lord in order to change the direction of this hateful movement. I hope he or she steps up soon.
