My brother's father-in-law (does that make him my uncle-in-law? Not sure) is a very disarming and likable man in his 80's who, if you spoke with him about any other subject, would easily strike you as being objective and decent. He's also a full-on Trumper. He acknowledges that Trump "has his faults" but is firmly convinced they are entirely overblown by Trump's opponents, the 'liberal' mainstream media, and so on. He is quite unshakable in this. Try to argue with him and he just says "I don't want to talk about this anymore" and shuts down.
He's objective and decent by any other measure, but when it comes to Trump I'm very skeptical if any tipping point exists.
