My reaction to this (and the Fed) was, pardon my French, F*** yes!
When someone much, much bigger and stronger picks on you, I think the correct answer is "You wanna go?"
You may get curbstomped, but then everyone one around you if forced to reckon with it. Or maybe, the bully is too insecure or nervous to follow through. Or sometimes when the stars align, they lose. All of these options to me are preferable to slinking off like a kicked dog.
