I totally agree, Kate. I wonder how many commenters who think the Dem party is peachy keen and Bill Kristol is a troll are active in local Dem party politics? I am, and I see lots of room for improvement in the national party. That is why I don't donate to the party. I use Act Blue to support my preferred candidates, especially down-ballot, and organizations (e.g., Emily's List) directly.
I don't know, the Democrats seem to be totally falling apart here in New York. The Cuomo legacy, I suppose.

Sure, the entire party isn't going to be in the same state. For example, the Dem party in Florida is still trying to rebuild.
But overall, the Democratic party is pretty solid. As Simon Rosenberg says, "Right now, I'd much rather be us than them."
