I compare the impeachment inquiry, and nearly every MAGA stunt of the last 7 years, to a creationist pseudoscience-peddler "debating" a scientist. I compare the impeachment inquiry, and nearly every MAGA stunt of the last 7 years, to a creationist pseudoscience-peddler "debating" a scientist. In all cases we keep hearing claims repeated, but no evidence (or at best absurdly cherry-picked to favor the wrong conclusion). But remember what their goal is, and who their target audience is. The goal is to "fire up" an audience that hates evidence, or any claim, however valid, that contradicts their fantasy. But that base craves repetition of the lies. We could probably count on one hand the number of critical state voters who will change their votes either way based on this stunt. But even if it fails miserably to any reasonable person, it feeds the MAGA voter addiction, especially for "retribution." And that can only help boost turnout. I worry more about non-MAGA voters who may get a false sense of security from MAGA stunt "failures" and use it as an excuse to not vote.
