I was getting so frustrated listening to the Bulwark podcast this morning. Why is MAGA supporting the 1%? People say Alvin Bragg is corrupt for saying he wanted to go after Trump, but Trump had corrupted the NY DA's office and Cy Vance, of course we'll vote for someone who promises to clean up corruption. But MAGA keeps screaming that they want more corruption, lower taxes on the rich, higher taxes on everyone else, and let's undo the good we've done cleaning up the Rust Belt ecology. And they are willing to do violence in the name of these principles, destroy their own schools and libraries and shit on Congress's floor. Why are they so in the tank for the billionaire class? I'll never understand it.
The wealth of the five richest men in the world have doubled since 2020. We will see our first trillionaire within the next 10 years as wealth continues to concentrate. I'm sure our corruption issues will only get worse as this trend continues. All because the "populist" bootlickers keep letting it happen right in front of their faces without demanding more taxation of the wealthy.
