Since morality doesn’t exist with Trump, I will just discuss the strategic value of his move away from pro life. It seems smart to me. If Republican voters have taught me anything in the last decade, it’s that voting Republican is the most important part of their lives, and literally nothing else matters. People who have claimed they have only tolerated Trump because he is pro-life won’t hesitate to vote for him even if he goes completely pro choice.
They will probably assume he is just changing his rhetoric for the election. If they vote, they will take their chances with him rather than a Democrat.
