I was a "Bernie Sanders purist" in 2016, IN CALIFORNIA, where I knew to an absolute certainty that HRC would win my state in a landslide, and that my vote mattered not at all. Had I lived in one of the crazy "battle-ground" states that swung RED that year (thanks, Vlad!!), I absolutely would have held my nose and voted for a third Clinton term in the White House. Now, as an inveterate "leftist" (actually a 72-year-old independent progressive who has always believed in democracy)--having lived in utter despair through nearly 8 years of a dystopian, Trumpified America--I will vote for Presdent Biden (or whoever else might be the Democratic Party nominee), come hell or high water. I will have no other choice.
Purists are becoming a dominant political force, all over the political map. As I wrote further down, it correlates well with our culture of narcissism.
Me too 😔

Compassion, no, but he might support them by increasing their numbers....
