I agree with many things you say. We seem to have a culture of ignorant entitlement. That said, regardless of why, ignorant and/or entitled individuals of voting age get a vote and it counts just as much as the informed and humble. In our current political environment, with one party acting with, at best, disregard for our foundational values, and at worst, actively seeking to destroy them, we have to work with our voters as they are today, not as we wish they were. We do need a more informed and considerate electorate, but until we have it, we have to find ways of convincing folks to vote for Democrats that actually work rather than what we feel should work in a just and rational world.
