I can't see a big rapid transition to total electric cars. First, there are millions of gas fuel cars around the country, and many people are keeping them until "electric"vehicles are cheap. Car manufacturers have stopped making cheaper models that a large majority of people can't hope to buy or finance new cars at the high prices. It will be several decades before the country is predominantely electric car. However, there is no reason not to move forward on that technology
