Interesting points, Sam, and while I initially thought Harris should refuse the FOX debate, you've now convinced me she should do it. 1) Because it will further unhinge Trump, who smugly assumes she'll never accept. He'll be on tilt when he realizes he and his FOX friends can't intimidate her. 2) She should negotiate the terms with FOX, not with Trump, and insist on no audience & muted mics (if that's her preference) 3) It will make Trump look smaller, weaker and more desperate if he still refuses to do the ABC debate just a few days later. THAT SAID...a FOX debate cannot be the first time Kamala faces tough questions from an unfriendly outlet. She must limber up by sitting for other interviews and taking town hall questions as part of her debate prep, coupled, of course, by actual debate prep by seasoned professionals, preferably Republicans (perhaps Chris Christie) who can best prepare her for the chaos to come. Finally, I also agree that a FOX debate will put Harris in front of an entirely different audience that needs to see the contrast between a rational, presidential candidate, and the 78-year toddler with Tourette's.
