The Epstein issue will be the downfall of Trump. I don’t think that it’s really about Trump, Epstein or the Trump campaign. The supporters including Republican leaders are tired of Trump. He is not the future of the Republican Party or any movement. He is old and in declining health. This whole “Epstein” kerfuffle is about two things: Allows Trump supporters to distance themselves from their votes and save face, and/or jockeying for the power and leadership as Trump falters.
I hope you're right. But Trump has had supernatural luck his entire political career. Every time we think he's finally going to be held accountable, he isn't. I don't get my hopes up anymore.

I’m with you that I thought his supporters would have deserted him long ago. He probably won’t be held accountable but just whither away while the people around him jockey for power
