I've been an attorney for 35 plus years and I have no idea how a district court federal judge can do a nationwide injunction. That's not the way the system is supposed to work. Basically a federal judge's rulings are applicable in that particular district. If it's a circuit court, then in that circuit. Only when the SCT rules, is the ruling applicable to all districts and circuits. I don't know how a federal district court has jurisdiction to issue rulings that are binding in other districts.
