Yes, but it is truly significant only if other states follow suit and begin to take back our nation as a whole from the extremists who have put us in this position. We stand at a crossroads. How far we collectively go down the pathway that we choose ultimately will determine how successful this moment might be.

Wisconsin could be a model for heavily gerrymandered states to take back the power of the voters. Wisconsin has more Democratic leaning voters than Republican, but the legislature has been locked in Republican control for too long, with an actual minority of the voters. Most red states are not in play.

North Carolina failed last fall to secure our attempt to end the tyranny of the minority here. We are paying as republicans continue to consolidate power in the gerrymandered legislature, stripping what will continue to be democrat governors of all the power and taking it for themselves.
