No, the gun owners would get off on it. That's why they own guns. Do you think Ted Cruz has an ounce of empathy in him. The only thing that would bother him is the shooting of one of his voters. Children can't vote so they don't count.
I also think that much of the gun-owning community does not want to mutilate fourth graders. Images of kids’ brains on the front page of the NYTimes would only help the gun control cause.
