Ronald Reagan was shot by John Hinkley on March 30, 1981 at the Washington, DC, Hilton, sustaining a wound in the side, a broken rib & collapsed lung (pneumothorax). He underwent emergency surgery and was released from the hospital on April 11.

Trump got his ear grazed in an assassination attempt. He has a bronze sculpture of the event with the famous raised fist, and they’re going to put a 9 foot tall bronze statue like that in his proposed statuary garden of American heroes.

Ronald Reagan didn’t return to the Hilton site to commemorate the occasion, and I don’t recall him ever mentioning it again.

I thought God liked modesty.

May those raised-fist bronze statues of Trump eventually suffer the same fate as the public statues of Confederate VIPs in Virginia.
