Picking who to root for like choosing between Scylla and Charybdis.

Ok, ok. 1 point for the obscure Greek mythology reference that sidetracked a pleasant read. I suppose like a few responses, I like the more obvious infectious choices. With the two mooks in combat with a penchant for sexual deviants, maybe Syphilis and Gonorrhea. Sounds Greek, too.

The way I cackled at “sounds Greek, too.”

Thank you for the early morning laugh.

But Scylla is clearly the less bad choice; lose six sailors or your whole ship is a harsh but easy choice to make.

See, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to root for either of them, buy if you're best known for "criticizing MAGA’s embrace of accused rapist and human trafficker Andrew Tate," then you are the clear winner here against the guy using his religious as both sword and shield. (And I am a lifelong practicing Catholic. As far as I know Jesus didn't die for us only so we could be horrendous to other children of God.)

I might also note that neither "Christian" turned the other cheek. Matthew 5-7 (particularly the Beatitudes) are well worth rereading.

Jesus also never said a word (that’s reported, at least) about homosexuality. That’s Old Testsment, and, if I’m not mistaken, in the same chapter as stoning adulterers to death. Wonder if the MAGA pastor supports that? If so, his president has some ‘splainin’ to do.

If people are following the Word of Paul, then the religion would be Paulists, not Christians.

Christians love to quote the Torah like they wrote it. They completely forget that it is the New Testament they should be following.
