Your friends are beneficiaries of the existing system of racial, sexual/gender, and economic relations (as am I, frankly, and probably a fair number of people here). The people running the MAGA scam are just like them. The like their high stock portfolio values and traditional social structures.
The economic threats or supposed threats are of more concern ot them and their interests than racism they won't experience, or sexism they won't experience, or economic difficulties they won't experience.
They will be all in on whatever it takes to keep what they have... especially if they can hold their nose and keep a decent distance from the icky parts.
It's just business. Lots of unpleasant things in business.
