Yes. I had a call with someone I worked with at the time, and expressed my outrage of what was going on. His reply: "Well people are fed up." I yelled "fed up with what?" but didn't get a reply.

And as I said last weekend, the tenor of our politics can never really get 'toned down' as long as the country is split on exactly what January 6 was.

I had a similar reply from a former Marine buddy when I asked him about it via text in real time. "Lots of anger out there" or something to that nature.

It’s par for the course. Whenever I ask a MAGA supporter why they love him so much, there answer; “he gets things done!”

Never mind, they can’t articulate anything he’s done, except he built a wall, and inherited the worst economy ever; turning it into the best economy ever; even though all evidence points to the contrary.

You would think the Orange Jesus turned water into wine; although I know a few magicians that could actually do it, so I’m not really impressed, either way.

Bottom line: these people are brainwashed by Fox and social media. Or they did their own research. I’m not sure which is worse…:)

Did their own research ... Priceless!

And yet...they totally condemn the angry response to Floyd's murder. One situation was a reaction to an actual murder...and the other is a reaction to a lie about the election being stolen.

Oh believe me, the hypocrisy doesn't escape me. Just look at how they reacted to Ashli Babbitt vs George Floyd. Apparently it's okay for a cop to slowly murder someone over the course of 9+ minutes for passing off a fake $20 at a bodega but it's the murder of a century if a USCP officer shoots someone for spearheading a violent mob through hasty barricades mere feet away from the assets that officer is sworn to protect.

It occurred to me recently that we don’t do anger. Even on and about Jan 6, while we were angry we didn’t express it in an angry way like they do

The only things that make dems angry are when Roe v Wade gets overturned, when Palestinians die in large numbers, or when the cops murder a minority on camera. And it's only ever temporary because they can never sustain a political anger streak that last longer than something like Occupy Wall Street did.

Dems are quick to forget their anger because they have to "focus on their mental health" or because "being angry is so emotionally taxing" etc. So it fades. It doesn't for the American right because the American right isn't as personal mental health focused as the American left is.

Anger Managment? No Trumper signs up for that.

Why "manage" it when they can liberate it?

It's hard to sustain anger for a decade. Requires a lot of extra calories.

Maybe THAT's why they hate Bud Light!

To be fair, Bud Light is suboptimal. 😀

Being mentally-fucked *does* have certain advantages that come with it

They are fed up with men in women's sports. Why this is more important than climate change, the national deficit, keeping NATO together, and fixing our broken health care system I will never know. But one glorious day in the near future, we will have finally regained the sanctity of women's sports. All we have to do is give up our right to vote.

Because it's an easy target. It's Adam and Eve. It's Gram and Pappy. It's binary. It's normal. It requires no expertise to explain or understand. It's woke. It's icky. Shall I go on?

And if they have their way, eventually there will be no women’s sports because they will be too busy having children and being a “trad” wife, so there’s that.

It lets them pretend to care about women. Better you think of your daughter having to play basketball against a man than you think about her dying from lack of medical care due to pregnancy complications.

They care more about unfair advantages in women's sports than they do about unfair advantages that the rich have at (waives around at everything). Women's sports *must* remain a pure meritocracy, but the rest of the country? Well who gives a shit about how watered down that kind of meritocracy gets.

And then they can go back to not caring about women's sports.
