I'm one of many retired people who is on a budget so very small it squeals if I eat a potato chip extra.
I love the Bulwark on YT. As things rolled after Trump took office, pI emailed the Bulwark to ask if maybe I could get a teeny tiny monthly rate because I don't even have $10 in my budget. And a nice guy emailed me back in less than 30 minutes to tell me I had a complimentary subscription for a whole year. Wow. You're right - that's family, not corporate. And THANK YOU all the members who give extra. You are much appreciated.
That's how I became a Bulwark reader too. Somewhere I came across an article Tim Miller wrote about Candace Owens. It was a long article which made it clear why I should watch out for her (to avoid her at all costs), but somewhere in it she said sometimes she wishes she could just quit. I wrote to Tim and asked if he could get her to promise she would. He wrote back and at the time I didn't have any extra money to spend on the Bulwark, and I told him so. He was kind enough to comp me also. Now I'm able to actually support it at the regular level. Good people, these.
just like you, Nansi, i'm on a tight fixed income but i have $100/yr to contribute... i was a little nervous this first few weeks of my subscription but i'm so glad that JVL wrote this post and to read your reply... to paraphrase Tim Crachit: good luck America, every one!!!

So happy to have you here. And when the yearly comp expires, let us know. We'll take care of you.
Love that. Thanks for sharing.
