Yep, Dems adhering to this kind of norm makes them suckers in our current political climate. They need to give Rs the finger, just as Rs gave Biden and anyone who was not a Trump-worshipper the finger. We need to fight and never submit. It is suicidal to let norms hamstring us at this point. We really cannot wait till the 2026 election: By that time the entire governmental apparatus will be controlled by Trump and it will not matter who is in Congress.
Not directly. But it does not appear to have hurt, and may be inspiring others to be less restrained in speaking out. Musks plan to get rid of phone service for Social Security had to be withdrawn after a WaPo report and a scathing speech by a house Democrat. Loud impolite informal boycott of Tesla is eroding Musks reputation. If our side is not loud and insistent, nobody will hear; that is the lesson MAGA knows and we need to learn.
I agree with that we need a spark, and IтАЩm thrilled about the demonstrations at Tesla dealerships. The Democrats definitely need to start playing by their rules. IтАЩve always felt that when they go low we should kick them in the teeth. I guess we just disagree about it taking place in that venue. I missed the WaPo report because I cancelled my subscription. ThatтАЩs a bit ironic because Musk is worse than Bezos, at least at the moment.
I absolutely agree. The takeover and dismantling of the govt, especially the election system and now allowing foreign money to come into the country as political donations unchecked will be devastating. Will we have an honest (ie, not rigged) election season next year?

I agree. But did that really help?
Did *what* help who?
Did it help the cause Al Greene was advocating?
