Years ago, my husband picked up a t-shirt at Brandywine Battlefield during a re-enactment weekend, but he won't wear it anymore because it has a Gadsden snake on the sleeve, and decent people take a step back when they see it. Another historic symbol lost to the 'patriot' crowd.
If you see 'Christian' 'Jesus lover' or a cross in somebody's Twitter or FB bio, you know right away they're nothing the real Jesus would have recognized.
