I'm afraid that MAGA isn't capable of seeing that Newsom is, first of all, ridiculing Trump then challenging him to put on a pair of big boy pants. They see copying Trump's style as something to be admired.

I fear that Newsom is amusing himself and a few other people and somehow thinks this is a show of strength. I appreciate snark, good snark, but only if it is occasional otherwise it's just tiresome. And I prefer it from political commentators and pundits, not from candidates.
The Trump supporters in my corner of the world NEVER see Trump's Truth Social postings therefore what they see from Newsom isn't what they see from Trump - or whatever the local conservative news and Fox display. I follow a lot of right-wing influencers and X accounts and they rarely post Trump's Truth Social blowups
