Carlson is trotting out the fascist "blood and soil" argument, with a dollop of elitism on top: My blood is pure American, from ancestors who were first to tread American soil.

The true lifeblood of America flows from the Declaration, as Bill says so beautifully.

The essential stupidity of the argument. He thinks his audience is a bunch of dummies who happily accept elite domination, or something. As if the entire last 15 years hasn’t been a rejection of elites by R voters. “I’m a great American, my RELATIVES were here in 1776.” Jesus, Tucker! NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR KENNEL PAPERS!
