I wish people would stop calling them "pro-life" groups when they don't give a single shit about actual living people. They are anti-abortion groups, period.

The entire "pro-life" movement has turned out to be one huge disaster after another, and ironically, quite pro-death. Johnson's 180 is completely meaningless. He fully endorses making women second class citizens and helping conservative courts take a hammer to the establishment clause.

They need a f-ton of white babies to stem the demographic tide. Better if these kids grow up in poor households so they can receive christian indoctrination along with their church provided social services. Even better if they learn their "role" in society as service for the rich during this indoctrination.

Mostly anti-woman, less anti-abortion.

It is about control.

Wasn't there recent reporting on the farm bill about reducing aid for WIC, amongst other reductions in funding? Of course, RonJohn did say that it was not society's responsibility to help raise your children.

Ronjon is a moron ; the only thing that keeps him in power is gerrymandering ( a good reason to end the practice ). Some of the repllug politicians have ZERO knowledge about pregnancy and females. The sooner he is gone, the better off we will be.

He sure did! Tax cuts and subsidies for rich people and corporations is great, it's not like kids need to eat. I hear you can just put them in freezers.

The GOP wants the opportunity to review what is purchased through WIC. They want to be the food police. Aside from privacy issues, what giant bureaucracy is going to review this? Grocery stores are appalled (it would cost them extra money as well).

Walmart, Kroger, and every convenience store chain must be flooding GOP Congressional offices with lobbyists. You can throw Coke and Pepsi in the mix as well.

As if micromanaging poor people ever saved the government money. It's totally absurd.

Again, it's all about the control (and the cruelty, of course).
