I’ve been writing repeatedly ever since before November 5 that if Trump won there would be no more elections. I recall once Sarah objecting to that prediction (not directly to me, but in general) as if it was preposterous. This, after uncountable preposterous events became reality. A convicted criminal was running, and won the presidency, is but one example. After that, nothing is preposterous.
In a different sub-topic: the pedophile & groomer accusations tossed about freely and indiscriminately for the past several years, seem to have withered on the vine. Were they past their “sell by’ date?
Remember the guy at the other place saying that people like me were just as obsessed with Trump and the MAGA folks and that he was cleverly preparing for the “post Trump” future and skating to where the puck would be?

I remember my wife calling me in disbelief on Jan 6th. I was like, "what did everyone THINK was going to happen!?" But only because I had been reading the Bulwark which spelled it all out to a T. This group has known where things are going (hint: it's dark) for a long time, and frankly it seems to be the only place that really gets it right now.

^^This. The one thing I remember so clearly from Trump's 2016 win was how often I was told I was over reacting.....that it would all be fine.....

No, Tim and Sarah looked as stricken on election night as JVL. They all knew what was happening. By 9 pm. I prayed they were wrong. But they weren’t.
