JFC. This is not some disagreement over the the appropriate marginal tax rate for the top decile taxpayer. It’s a moral issue and a question of our country’s most basic values. On something like this, I expect my congressperson to do what he/she thinks is right in the normative sense, be able to articulate why it is clearly right and ask their constituents to back them in doing it because it is right.
