Sure the people should all support Biden, but the reality is they won't, and there is nothing we can do about that, and neither can Biden. Concerns about his age will not go away. It's too late for Republicans, they are lost in a cult. No one on their side is going to save us.
The reality we live in. In no reality will the great majority of voters in this country all of a sudden see the light regarding Trump (within the next four months!) and vote for Biden. The post I was replying to implied that we can't replace Biden because the people (including independents and "sensible" Republicans) should support him and turn against Trump. Sorry, that's just not going to happen.
I agree with you 100% and will do exactly the same. However the election will come down to who the undecideds choose, and base turnout. The undecideds drive me batty, it's like how could anyone be undecided at this point with these two candidates, but still they are out there, and optics matter to them. They either don't know or don't care about all of Biden's accomplishments (unfair and depressing but true). All they will see is someone who looks incapable of being president. As far as the base is concerned, lack of enthusiasm will reduce base turnout, and it's really hard to get enthusiastic about Biden right now. I'm going to vote for him and I can't even be enthusiastic about it. As far as Republicans are concerned, they are either intentionally ignorant about Trump's intentions, or are all for the Trump 2.0 dictatorial regime. The optics are bad for Biden, and the reality is this is how most people vote for president, based on their feelings.

I hope so, it will speak well of the electorate if they punish Trump for all of this as he should be.
