Maybe stick to one train of thought at a time, and if you want to switch topics, acknowledge that the topic you are introducing is in fact a new and equally difficult one.
You're skipping over too many logical steps. Whether A is true or not has nothing to do with whether B is difficult/dangerous/etc. or not.
This is a complex issue. Difficult truths need to be acknowledged, and the +/- of risky options need to be weighed. Wishing something won't make it true.
That's very kind. Let's just say that I've had to choose between bad and worse options enough times in life to have a pretty good idea just how far either wishful thinking or avoidance will get me. Plus they made me take a logic class in college ;)
It wasn't an attack, I meant it literally as advice. I'm sorry you take this sort of feedback as an attack. It's frank, but there's no ill will in it, and I wouldn't have said it if I didn't think it was important.
Jumping around from one point to another, in the middle of a highly complex argument, does not get us to good solutions. Make the effort to explicitly establish every one of the logical stepping stones between Point A and Point B, and you will be able to find, and plug, a lot of the holes in your argument. (Trust me, every argument has holes.) If you don't find them yourself, someone else is almost guaranteed to find them and use them against you.
^^Use that in the constructive spirit in which it was offered, or reject it as you see fit. It's your choice.
There's no 'jumping around' involved. If Biden doesn't voluntarily step aside, it would be virtually impossible to replace him on the ballot under current party rules. If he does step aside voluntarily, his pledged delegates would be free with choose whomever they want as his replacement - and it would be a free-for-all at the convention. Those are the rules. That's the reality. If A, then B. Use that in the constructive spirit in which it was offered or not.
Good luck with your brokered convention, then.

I like how you think and express yourself.

I haven't attacked you personally, it's too bad you chose to go that route. Have a good day.

If he steps aside now there is some time for debates with potential nominees before the convention - which might add a little clarity.
He's not stepping aside. The announcement was made by the campaign last night.
