Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) tweeted:

"Washington is broken.

Republicans got outsmarted by a President who can’t find his pants.

I’m voting NO on the debt ceiling debacle because playing the DC game isn’t worth selling out our kids and grandkids."

Amazing the point of this tweet is to assure everyone that Joe Biden is extremely dumb, only to follow it up with the contention sure, Joe Biden might be a dementia-riddled old man, but he still runs circles around my co-workers, congressional Republicans.

All the worst fight people are fighting, you love to see it.

I wish that the MSM would stop trying to make Nancy Mace happen.

Nancy Mace is never going to happen. And this is coming from someone who really wanted to like her.

It looks like Biden found his pants, put them on and kicked Republican asses.

Can I smack her? the president who cant find his pants is Trump #1 the president who has drug addled dementia is Trump#2. If she wants to help her grandkids then pay attention to what has happened to your party and work with Congress. Such petty shite is pissing me off, how is voting NO going to help?

Did you actually expect anything different from Mace? Her response to the SC abortion ban was pure unadulterated hypocrisy at its best; and the only constant in republican gobbledygook-speak.

According to republicans, Biden is a senile 80 year old. That said, he also happens to ride his bike daily, is in good shape and has done a decent job, considering what he inherited.

Compare that to the “tin-foil” hat party of Trump. He’s an overly “obese,” cantankerous blob, whose only exercise is driving his golf cart to the green, to take a golf swing after engulfing a basket of KFC and or Taco Bell. Oh and he speaks in incoherent tongues, rattling off unhinged mixed word salads to his flock daily.

Tough decision.....who to vote for......:)

Mace is so determined to stake out a position as a "mavericky" outsider contrarian that she has completely lost the plot.

Nancy Mace is such a fraud. Says one thing on Fox News another on mainstream channels. She is like the old saying about Arafat: "He speaks peace in English and war in Arabic and all Muslims know which one he means."

I am really starting to think that Nancy Mace has multiple personalities. She flips on a dime without any rhyme or reason.

At this point, I hear "Nancy Mace" and my response is "Girl, whatever...what you are about to say is not going to make sense...but, go ahead and say it, girl".

Her back and forth with wanting be at the grown ups table shouldn’t be taken with any seriousness by legacy media. If she’s a “Good RepublicansTM”, then the media needs to take the hint such person is an oxymoron and not a political miracle.

I had such high hopes for Nancy Mace. But maybe she is the next Elise Stafanek. She also makes no sense: If Biden can't find his pants, then she'd have to admit that members of her party don't even know what pants are.

I don't know what happened to that poor woman. I thought she might have something to her, but I guess it's all just debasement to the party at this point.

Nancy Mace shows glimmers of integrity and then throws it away. So sad. I so want to like her and always end up disappointed.

There are so few congressional republicans that aren't cynical or nuts, we keep looking/hoping for a glimmer of sanity and integrity.

Yes, we do. I am a pretty liberal Democrat and still wishing to hear from a regular Republican, but alas ...

Nancy Mace is a wind sock, fluttering in the breeze . . .

She’s skilled at sounding reasonable. But there’s no “there” there.

I suspect she is only reasonable on abortion. Probably because she was sexually asaulted, so it affected her personally. Being concerned about anything that does not immediately affect her is likely beyond her capacity.

"Being concerned about anything that does not immediately affect her is likely beyond her capacity."

Kind of the perfect encapsulation of the modern Republican Party ethos right there

Yep, you nailed it. Conservatives only get on board the Compassion Train when they themselves (or a loved one) is affected. They lack empathy.

She's an opportunist first and an everything else second.

I grew up with her district. The combination of "wet bulb" temperatures and elevation mean it may well be reclaimed by alligators in the next 100 years.

She's only a congresswoman because District 1 in South Carolina is gerrymandered to an absurd degree to cut out the Black voters by including the pricey coast and not much else. Her voters, like Florida in general, artificially older because it contains several massive retirement communities.

That was my first thought, but then I remembered there are no "moderate" or "responsible" Republicans, at least at the national level. They keep playing the same dumb games along with the "crazies", but don't want to be lumped in with them. Well guess what: Crazy is as crazy does, and Nancy Mace is acting crazy.
