The way we have stripped away childhood from children, and the accompanying development (learning to negotiate through making up rules for nonsensical games, learning how to win and lose on your own, the sheer joy of playing) is such a negative in our culture. Adults need to get a life; hey, I know: how about volunteering or getting involved with a fath or civic group?
