I heard someone is being held in a ' for profit ' in California, always checked in, their crime, fishing without a license, another being held for jaywalking. And , how embarrassing a rural core civic will be taking men and women ( they say no children ) in Minnesota's only for profit prison built and held persons from Haiti years ago after promising only locals would be held. That place closed in 2010, now going to re open as a med. security lock up. 153 w of Minneapolis. Expected to fill to the max sometime in 2nd or 3rd quarter next year, 1600.
Our "government" has descended to a level of cruelty and inhumanity that equals the worst we have done in wartime. There is no excuse for the neglect and incompetence demonstrated by the regime, DHS and ICE. it seems to me that this is an incredibly simple situation. In a word, honor their request, get the family on an airplane and send them to Venezuela. What makes this a complicated process? Beats me!
But there is money to be made by detaining them! We all need to accept that this is all about making money off of the dehumanization of immigrants (with our tax dollars!).
