What I am curious about is how is Trump paying for all these attorneys? Apparently he does not have the money he claims to have. He also seems to rob Peter to pay Paul. I heard he would have to sell Mar Lago. Is he using campaign donations to pay some of his legal bills? Will he pay Carroll from these funds? Does anyone know if this is legal? If I was a poor schmuck making and average wage, I would be pissed off if my hard earned money was going to pay the legal fees of a guy in a $5,000 suit.

"There may not be enough of these Never Trump voters to determine the outcome of a Republican primary; but there may be more than enough to sway the outcome of the general election, especially in the key swing states."

That seems likely. And the great thing is there is nothing the Trump campaign can do about it.

Was that Tim Scott standing behind Trump making guppy faces alternating with strange toothy smiles while Trump was b'tching about Haley not acting defeated enough?

Big thanks Jeff. This is a great quote to use to prove a point.

Biggest liability for Biden is the middle east conflict. At minimum, Biden needs to be clearer that he is not having our country enabling Bibi Netanyahu. Biden also needs to do better reaching out to base voters. That doesn't mean taking on all the most progressive stands, but it does mean doing serious outreach with young and racial/ethnic minority voters. Kamala Harris does seem to be helpful in this area. Republicans have problems either way. If a Black Swan event occurs, and Trump is not nominee, it is unlikely that the Trump True Believers will vote. If Trump wins, he loses a significant chunk of the never Trump republicans - and recent polls show this is a larger swath than previously reported.

Both guys are old.... I really think the evidence for Cognitive Decline is much stronger in Trump than in Biden. The fall issue, seems like a non-issue to me.

The massive ignorance of those Republicans in Congress supporting Trump, makes me cringe. They have zero original thoughts when it comes to saving our democracy from the subversion of truth. They also have no idea of the real intentions of Vladimir Putin and how what is happening in the U.S. was just a part of a Russian strategic plan 25 years ago.

Yes, this is entirely true. It shows how far off target the Trumpers are from reality. Putin's full intention is to get revenge for the fall of the Soviet Union, and his number one tool is Donald Trump. Trump - an incredibly stupid man - has NO IDEA of the real Russian world and how clandestine they operate. I lived and worked in Russia and Central Asia for about 20 years. In this process, I became Russianized and looked like and behaved Russian. There are very few Americans who grasp what this means - but I wrote From Democracy to Democrazy as a warning to Americans that "the Russians are coming," and realized by the time I finished the book (2022) that they had already penetrated the United States and Trump was the number one tool used to destroy our country.

Were Tim Scott & Beetlejuice from the Howard Stern show separated at birth?

Matt’s complaints about the liberal media fail to mention the most popular news show today, Fox News. Or The Wall Street Journal, the NYPost, Sinclair Media... what a load of cherry picked horseshit.

The only hope is that Trump continues to unravel. I have never understood why none of the candidates except maybe Christie, pointed out all the things Trump is accused of, or the debt that he created. I’m hoping Haley will do that but I don’t have high hopes for her. She needed to come out swinging earlier. I hope she can hang in long enough to force him to continue to sound like a babbling fool. And for some of these republicans to back him up knowing what a crazy loon he is, is unconscionable. Especially knowing he wants to rip up the Constitution.

I have a question. If there are not enough Republican voters to carry Trump across the finish line in 2024 November why does everybody think he could win? He won Iowa, but only a tiny percentage of the Republicans voted. He won New Hampshire, but only a percentage of the Republicans voted for him, I don’t understand the math. Perhaps someone can explain it to me.

Time for the narrative to turn to Trump's obvious cognition difficulties. He ranted like a loon last night and if you asked anyone what was the point of it? He was furious that Haley did not leave the race and kiss his ring. That was an anger filled rant and continued on his Lying Social. He really is unspooling and it needs to be covered daily.

Michael Kruse's article on NH voter Ted Johnson is a jaw-dropper for this reader. Just . . . WOW. We are in a world of trouble. The Biden campaign needs to raise its game soon to jam the Fox propaganda machine/echo chamber. Talk about women's bodily autonomy and equal access to essential healthcare all day long. Remind voters 24/7 that Republicans have hated Social Security and Medicare since day one. Biden rope-a-doped the Rs good on SS/Medicare in the State of the Union. Encore!

I find it amazing that all the Rep presidential candidates except Christie said they'd vote for or pardon djt if he was convicted of a felony. I bet they all live in states that do not even allow convicted felons to VOTE, even after they've completed their sentence unless they are pardoned...yet it's ok for him to be President. (DeSantis made sure to put up road blocks to giving felons the right to vote after completing their sentence despite a constitutional amendment approved by FL voters.)
