Re: the voice of the people can bring about change, Sinclair just announced that they’re bringing Jimmy Kimmel back next week. https://apple.news/ACv0rCstFTLqzgqkx6r_BUw

Per Variety: “…Sinclair said that it would end its preemption of the late night show Friday night after "thoughtful feedback from viewers, advertisers, and community leaders representing a wide range of perspectives."…”

“Thoughtful feedback” indeed.

This was obviously recorded before the indictment against Comey came down. Could you do a followup with an analysis of the indictment? I practiced insurance defense, probate, and estate planning law, and I tried to stay as far away as possible from criminal law (I had/have a mental block there; it was a challenge prepping for that part of the Bar Exam). So my question is:

If the prosecutors in the EDVA were so doubtful that they could even get an indictment with Comey, much less a conviction that would hold up on appeal, how did this new, inexperienced interim US Attorney manage to get an indictment in a matter of days after being installed in office?

Is this an example of being able to indict a ham sandwich? I’m really curious what’s going on here. A follow up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Galling that such an ignorant buffoon could so wholly pervert our system of government. So much for American exceptionalism in my mind.

History will find that the real betrayal is by Republican officials who knowingly choose to abandon constitutional principles and defend these actions, understanding fully the consequences for our democracy. They are the true villains of this story.

"I didn't make any money as a federal prosecutor." This is why the left/center left is viewed as elitist. As a former headstart kid who scraped my way through college and worked with a lot of entitled lawyers during my career, I hit the off button... no matter how good the rest of the message was, she lost me at that point.

Congrats on your accomplishments! I think Ms. Vance may have meant 'made money' in the context of what she could have made in the private sphere. And as to left/center left, as I'm sure you know, there the one's pushing to keep programs like Running Start in place.

Upon further review, my apologies, I shouldn't put words into Ms. Vance's mouth. Please understand it's how I took her statement; I have no way of knowing what Ms. Vance intended.

I completely understand her sentiment… but to the minimum wage workers in my family it sounds out of touch and condescending… this has and will continue to lose votes.

I'm sure your minimum wage relatives lovse and support Trump and his family, corrupt as hell and getting unbelievably rich during this administration, as well as the many tech overlords and plutocrats sucking up to Trump. But this one attorney really raises your hackles. Great.

Background in video didn't help either in the context of this statement. Still, I would juxtapose an ill framed statement which bothers one with the real life losses that minimum wage workers in their family will suffer under Trump 2.0. The center left will continue to support programs which will help those families, the right (or what today passes for 'the right') will not. My parents would say a vote for the right is biting your nose to spite your face (the meaning of which I understand, if not the idiom).

So since we're now going to be prosecuting lying to Congress, could we go back through the confirmation hearings of Bondi, Patel and RFK Jr. to see if they willingly misled Congress during their testimonies?

Bill, Thanks for having Joyce on the show. Her expertise in the matters of the law and its execution was informative and clarifying. As I was listening, based on Joyce's experience with prosecutors and prosecutions, it sure sounded like Jack Smith's cases against Trump were going to produce a conviction and withstand the appeals. Did I miss something? Trump is the one who should be in prison. Now let's turn to the Senate Republicans who not only started this chain of events with their confirmation votes but sit willingly death, dumb and blind as our country slides into dictatorship. Are these Republican Senators fools? Are these Republican Senators cowards? Or are these Republican Senators traitors? I unequivocally choose the latter and they are guilty as Hell.

Our access to health insurance SHOULD NOT BE LINKED TO OUR EMPLOYMENT!!!!!!! Everyone should be able to leave employment without endangering the health care of a child or spouse or themselves. It is past time for a first world healthcare system and removing all the wasted money spent on the administration of health insurance.

Unitary executive theory is a fraudulent doctrine Republicans use to protect criminal presidents.

The president is not the CEO. His job is to *execute the laws* passed by Congress.

If such a thing existed then the President wouldn't need the advise and consent of the Senate for Treaties, Cabinet and Supreme Court nominations. The Constitution always had the President in a kind of a box, maybe more like a geo fence would be a more modern description. It might move around a little but its there. Unity executive and Independent Legislature are stupid word games by right wing wacko's. We're 250 years into this now and you just can't make up stuff.

I’m going to ask what might be a dumb question, but this US Attorney resigned. Lots of people in the government have resigned. It seems like far more than have stuck around and been fired. Why would you not make them fire you?

Wait a second! Didn't we have a Revolution to overthrow a King who could jail anyone he wanted? And then didn't we put in place a Constitution to guide and protect our Nation from dictators? And then didn't we construct a Government of 3 equally powerful branches of government to ensure a system of checks and balances?

Of course, we did and do, and this makes me wonder if "We the People" need to reclaim our power from this Ship of Traitorous Fools running our country!
