The last article in the last issue of the Weekly Standard was about the last lines of novels:

Lesson I've learned over the many years I've been alive:

Always do the right thing, regardless of the consequences.

It generally ends up where the right thing gets done, less consequences for me (even if I'm the one who screwed up), and I get to sleep at night/look myself in the mirror.

Sometimes, doing the right thing has cost me, but then again - I get to look my kids in the eye and not be ashamed.

Indict Trump and prosecute him to the fullest.

If this democracy is going to fall because he gets acquitted or another president decides to use the DOJ to go after his political allies because of this "precedent," well...this democracy was going to fail anyway.

Blaming it on prosecuting someone for attempting a coup would just be an excuse, and not the reason - the people CHOSE to elect a tyrant, and there's nothing we can do about that.
