The emperor has no clothes and the inmates are running the asylum. I might suggest that the emperors have been undressing tiny bit by tiny bit for decades and an inmate here and there has run amok, but this ( goodness not even a year yet!) has been a complete,

and total slide into mayhem craziness. The dark news keeps coming ad I am wondering if there is any way back!

"Crayon-drawn world" (in trump's head) seemed perfect to me. Oh sure, important front-facing signatures (and birthday cards) require Sharpie's. But in his everyday, every-wire-askew childish mind, it's gotta be the box of 64--at a minimum.

Andrew and Jim, Thanks for the reporting, commentary and analysis. There are a lot of people out there that think Trump is a great business man and just as many tohat think he's the world's greatest con man. Unfortunately, the joke's on them and Trump, the dictators around the world have the book on Trump. Compared to them he's a flyweight. All these trillions Trump is floating around are stake money for THEIR con on him. It has the same value of ,let's say, Monopoly game money. You know, like I'll give a trillion for Boardwalk and Park Place. Or in this case I'll give you a trillion for AI chips and F35's. The only money coming to America is the money going into Trump and his family's hidden bank accounts.

Every dollar of foreign investment is the flip side of a dollar of imports. So $21 trillion is a pretty big increase in the trade deficit.

"The task force has presented Ms. Noem with a draft report that calls for reforming but preserving the agency in some form, the four people briefed on the matter said."

I guess that means the FEMA dissolution task force didn't buy Trump's idea that he could just make all those storms go away with his Sharpie.

" ... or rather, it’s all coming out except the stuff Pam Bondi thinks she can get away with holding back."

Which will be the most important bits.

I had a great idea for the bullshit artist to fix healthcare this way - just rename it Trumpcare and INCREASE the subsidies to stem the tide of hate they're receiving, getting more MAGA to sign on. Then when the dems win, the country will have zero interest in keeping trumpcare, so then we get medicare for all. Wheee, right?

When dealing with a confidence trickster it is never wise to pay much attention to what the con man says - the aim is to confuse, distract, and ultimately take whatever you have that he or she wants. What they do is take it. Pay attention to what they do, not what they say. This is easier said than done, good luck. With the T. Rump criminal enterprise the mute button is your best friend - use it.

Funny thing is that MAGA apologists for years have said "Pay no attention to what he says, just watch what he does!" Which meant: 'Never mind that he generally sounds like an ignorant sociopath. He will act wisely and do great things!" It didn't mean: "Ignore the big promises he makes and his denials of any wrongdoing, because he's conning you."

Almost nothing really matters until he starts stealing elections again. Not saying it won't hurt or leave a mark. It's just that nothing will really be done about ending this until he either accepts defeat or crosses that line. And if the American people don't step up for the latter, it's over.

The investment markets (ultimately) will give the lie to magical thinking. The AI bubble will pop on Trump's watch, and it won't be pretty. Crypto may well already be popping. And if the broad economy then truly sputters, which is no fun for anyone, at least there's some entertainment value in watching Trump and Co. tripping over themselves in their increasingly fanciful world of make-believe.

This ridiculous bubble is pretty much propping up our entire economy right now. The pop is going to be UGLY.

My guess is as Trump goes, so goes crypto, though I wouldn't guess where the Trump bottom is for that. I would be very pleased to see quantum come in and break crypto encryption next year, about four years ahead of schedule.

I’m a little surprised you took that 119K number hook, line and sinker. 69K above what economists expected and just enough to keep Trump from loading his diaper. Remove the veil my friend.

Here is the article about the MAGA nut who faked an attack on herself:

https://newjerseyglobe.com/congress/van-drew-staffer-staged-fake-attack-writing-trump-whore-across-her-stomach-and-alleging-men-held-her-down-and-cut-her-body/

You really have to see the pictures.

The article doesn't say whether the "scarification artist" cut her so as not to leave permanent scars, but regardless, this is a deeply disturbed individual. Just don't call them cultists; they don't like that.

I thought the same thing: "deeply disturbed." It's sad when someone is this mentally ill; I hope she gets help.
