It is quite easy to understand the MAGA agenda. It is "owning the libs." That's it and that's all. Every position they take, including whitewashing our history, can be understood from that perspective.

"You can’t take a single weekend off with these clowns. Happy Monday."

We can call them clowns when they're out of power and back to their pathetic, paranoid whining. Until then I'll call them "evil."

Thank you, Will Selber and the Bulwark, for keeping our brave Afghan allies in your coverage. Even those who are legally resettled here and are starting to build new lives are not out of danger. Please be an early warning resource.

Interesting how old tropes can pop up inadvertently..... in the signalgate section a phrase sort of jumped off the page and smacked me in the face.... "claim a scalp". Guys, really?

Sorry that the Top comment of the day is taking Trump seriously when he once again muses about a third term. It's not that I don't think he is serious about this, it's that it is so far off in the future and so far down the list of impending horribles that I agree with the NY Times and Axios that it does not deserve front page coverage. Whenever he says stuff like this, it is to distract us from something he doesn't want us to pay attention to.

I swear he has a "Media Distraction" spinner in the WH residence with a bunch of categories on it that he spins each morning to trot out another clickbait comment.

Also, although Bill Kristol and I are different in our political ideology, I appreciate his view on the contribution of black Americans to this country's rich history with all of its faults. That history could be truly cherished if we could look back on it and appreciate how far we had come from some of those dark days. But it is really discouraging that after so many have given their lives to help us make progress in reconciling our racial make-up to being ONE NATION, UNDER GOD that we have these so-called leaders trying to deliver us back to a time of a superior race ruling over everyone else. It seems like we haven't learned anything from history at all.

I'm so proud of our military members. I've seen so many pictures of them standing behind these clowns and maintaining stern military faces while these people lie, pontificate and embarrass this country on the world stage. God bless them and keep them safe from these imbeciles.

He's angry because he comes from a country where all white citizens had all the power and all the black people were not even citizens in their own ancestral land. When that changed, he was probably traumatized. His father owned a copper mine and I don't know if the family still has it.

Vance can't ignore the president's desires.

Pass it on.

I can ignore the presidents desires. I spend a lot of my life ignoring his desires. For instance, there is his desire for people like myself to worship on his altar…

I think Mr. Vance should spend less time shit posting on social media and spend more time delving into the parts of Catholic theology he missed. There's a whole lot about temptation and giving into sin.

He lacks principles. Like a lot of Catholics. It is why I left the church. No offense to anyone who chose to stay. The day to day hypocrisy was too much for me.

Not limited to Catholics. As children we always knew when local elections were on by the fact that our local mayor would turn up to Sunday service for three to four weeks once every three years !

I'm glad Bill Kristol mentioned the March 27 executive order's reference to "improper ideology". The order also seeks to expunge "ideologies inconsistent with federal law and policy". These totalitarian formulations have not generated anywhere near the attention and outrage they deserve. Though the executive order applies to the Smithsonian Institution and its facilities and exhibitions, the effort to ban "improper" speech not approved by the fascist Trump regime is bound to spread. Citizens have a duty to stand up against these attacks. The next opportunity to do so will be at the nationwide protests this Saturday, April 5. Bill. please do not draw attention to my most revered monument in Boston. Maybe, for the time being, we can say it's a monument to the Celtics or Red Sox? They won't know.
