I'm glad Bill Kristol mentioned the March 27 executive order's reference to "improper ideology". The order also seeks to expunge "ideologies inconsistent with federal law and policy". These totalitarian formulations have not generated anywhere near the attention and outrage they deserve. Though the executive order applies to the Smithsonian Institution and its facilities and exhibitions, the effort to ban "improper" speech not approved by the fascist Trump regime is bound to spread.
