"Greene told reporters she felt members would hear from constituents back home in support of her motion"

I'd like to know a rough number of constituents back home who actually care who the Speaker is.

I'm curious how many MT MAGA HAT Greene actually heard from back home.

This may be the on thing she doesn't make up. I'm sure she has legions of religiously devoted followers who LOVE her shtick and brook no compromise with Democrats, only performative a**holery.

True enuff. But you have to appreciate the humor in Mtmagahat Greene.

The acronym reads to me Mount Magahat Green. I now want a 't' shirt with a picture of Mount Magahat.🤣

A number of young people are right there with that sentiment that our institutions are corrupt, the rich rule, and the rest of us are diverted by stupid culture wars.

What to do?

Isn’t some of Trump’s support coming from the same corners?

So easy to call out what’s wrong. So hard to fix.

At what point does MTG find herself opposing Trump himself? To be clear, Trump does not really want to see Greene succeed in policy. She is there for the show. I mean, can she soften her rhetoric in the election year? Heck no! But Trump has to, particularly on abortion. Something in that relationship has to give. In addition, given his actions, Mike Johnson must understand that Trump’s position on Ukraine and NATO are very dangerous.

I love the monotone guy looking like death showing pictures of women to scare people - when most would run screaming if he lurched out of a coal mine to chase them.

Umm, anyone else notice how much smaller Kennedy’s head looks in that clip?? Anyone check his hat size recently, a la Barry Bonds? Sure seems like that “natural lifestyle” is paying off…

Don Blankenship! Now that is a blast from the past! Maybe he's angling for a role in Trump's All Prison Cabinet: Him, Pete Navarro, John Eastman, Rudy, Mike Flynn, Mark Meadows. Lincoln had his Team of Rivals. Trump will have his Pardon Posse.

Don Blankenship?? Holy crap, I thought he died (he looks like he did).

On a good note, though, I read in the Daily Beast (from a WAPo article) that Kari has worn out her welcome at Mar A Loco:

" At one point last year, the Post reported, Trump suggested she leave the golf course and instead spend her time campaigning—far away from him."

So in addition to being a RINO Mike Johnson is now a SINO - Speaker In Name Only - who is totally owned by House Democrats. Well played Leader Jeffries!

Beware. When folks in Congress even think about cooperating with the other side we are getting dangerously close to that slippery slope. And we all know what that means: a less dysfunctional Congress and a better functioning democracy. Nip it in the bud before it's too late (which it may already be).

Marge is a media whore and all these clowns with a mic in their hand chase her around for a sound bit. She does all this for attention and performance.

Johnson should call her bluff; I don't think she has the balls to challenge him

We here in Arizona rejected Kari Lake for Governor. I can only hope that she will suffer the same fate in her attempt to become our Senator! Some of us like to refer to her as Fake Lake.

Greene went predictably berserk: “Everyday, I fight the Democrat agenda destroying America and I fight for an America First Republican agenda,” she tweeted. “Mike Johnson is officially the Democrat Speaker of the House. Here is their official endorsement of his Speakership. What slimy back room deal did Johnson make for the Democrats’ support?”

Margie stick a sock in it, no one cares what you think.

As for Mike Johnson, democrats need to keep a close eye on him, you may just be looking at the next Mitch McConnell

True. For all his relative newness to the Speakership, he seems to be managing things rather well. I'm curious to see if and when he can not need the Dems to get things done and how he manages it.
