Did Trump rape a child? Probably. Did he rape an adult? Certainly. Did he know Epstien raped children? Certainly. Did he do anything about it? Only laugh and egg him on.

Trump must be impeached, now.

Enough. I’ve had enough of talking about this on Trump’s terms. These documents confirmed what only Trump himself can’t admit– his name is all over it. Only on Earth 2 is this finally enough evidence to say the entire investigation has been mishandled. TL;DR: it’s shameful that the reasons for what I’m about to say even exist. But I want to say it because these are all unforced errors we’re committing against each other now by talking about the wrong damn thing.

Why are we behaving as if we need to prove something about Trump’s involvement before a serious investigator does a serious investigation into the serious crimes committed against young women in that house? They can start with the mountain of evidence that HAS NOT BEEN UNKNOWN simply because no one asked for it. I’d personally like them to follow up on two additional things they’re shockingly uncurious about:

1. The Deputy Attorney General was told by Ghislaine Maxwell that some of Epstein’s associates “are in your cabinet and are your coworkers”. These “other people, including a member of your cabinet” were so boring that he immediately changed the subject to get down to business– a leading question that gave her another chance to go on record confirming she never saw Trump do anything untoward. I don’t know how the ABA lets this person practice law here on Earth 1, or lead the DOJ. Or get away with not recusing himself due to conflict of interest. It’s insulting to the victims and the general public to not be outraged by the way this publicly documents clear violation of ethics rules for any lawyer*.

* Remember attorney client privilege still applies to former clients and this guy was Trump’s personal lawyer. Yes you read that right—Donald John Trump—the only living person now at the center of this smokescreen. It’s clouding justice that victims cannot possibly get while we watch the attorney in charge do nothing– AS HE SHOULDN’T. Because he cannot be expected to work this case without violating one ethics rule or another. Volunteering to recuse oneself if it even looks improper is a routine, respected and respectful thing judges and attorneys do all the time. In this case it’s required because a person (Blanche) whose job it is to seek justice for everyone in the country (in his position as #2 of the DOJ) can’t seek justice for anyone in case his former client was demonstrably irrefutably involved in, especially if the crimes being investigated occurred while he represented that client in a personal capacity (he did). The bar association is supposed to be the backstop when lawyers cannot or will not fulfill their professional duties competently and in good faith. So every day this plays out in front of everyone with eyes, these dozens, hundreds, possibly thousands of victims are denied a real investigation into people who harmed them. Many have waited years with dignity and strength, just for someone to give a damn, and it seems the only reason we do is for the spectacle of another Trump mess. We don’t have to let him hijack their justice too. For the ABA: inaction is a choice, and complicity is a stain that cannot be removed. A strongly worded letter won’t cut it this time.

I’m not done yet.

2. Howard Lutnick was Epstein’s neighbor for 20 years and it’s no big deal. I’ve only shared a wall for 8 years and could write several books about the things I don’t want to know about the neighbors I still don’t know. He went on a podcast just a few weeks ago to say how weird it is to him too that he’s never been questioned. UPDATE: he still hasn’t been questioned.

To be clear, I’m not inferring Maxwell was talking about Lutnick. What I am saying is at the VERY least he knows things. Helpful things. And we shouldn’t be expecting Blanche to go anywhere with this because he literally can’t (though we know that’s not why he’s not trying). At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if any or all of the clowns in Trump’s clown car of a cabinet were involved. But I can’t imagine the cognitive dissonance required to lead the DOJ and pretend like these aren’t viable leads into real crimes against real people. Trump lies every day and there’s nothing he could say that would really help this abject failure of a system he’s simultaneously led and ignored for two terms. There is no closure to be had with ANY of the wrongs he’ll leave us with and we shouldn’t give him the attention he wants right now. He’s not a victim in this so let him cry it out. There is no semblance of “justice” here until, after all these years, we investigate this for the victims. NOW. What will it take for us to make it about them?

Isn't it absurd after all we've seen the last ten years to ask, as Bill does, if elites "will be found wanting" this time around? Of course they will, unless they can step forward and be counted without risk to their privileges. Maybe the movement against Trumpism among non-elites will finally tilt the playing field toward sanity just enough to make elites feel safe enough to say, "Hey, yeah, that's what I've been saying all along!" That would be hard to listen to, but better than the alternative.

If the files get released , and your name appears you can go before congress and explain your dealings with Epstein, bring your lawyer and take the fifth is it gets too heavy. Pam Bondi claims there is no there , there. Release the files and let the sunlight shine on the , there there. Trump likes his name plastered on everything , he should be happy his name may be in the file. If there is more to his name been just in the file he may find his name on a subpoena. He really has nothing to worry about with Pam Bondi or Todd Blanche , they are good at losing documents and putting things to rest.

For me I look at the simple things.

Russian hoax? Recall Trump asking Russia to find missing emails. Remember him lying about not having a Moscow building project in the works in 2016. Said he believed Putin more than his own Intelligence experts.

Epstein hoax? Pictures of him dancing and partying with Epstein and Maxwell. Asked if he had any comments about Maxwell after she was convicted of conspiracy to commit sexual abuse and traffic minors; only said he wished her well. Arranged to have her moved to minimum security prison.

Acts like a guy who worries about what Putin and Maxwell might have to say (and what Epstein might of said) about him.

He gave power and agency to his far right supporters who think anyone on the left is a pervert or worse. Now he's reaping the consequences for actions that should of been obvious to his followers years ago.

So much of pro-Trump apologetics has essentially been an exercise in saying "He's nothing at all like what he seems to be."

Imagine staking your professional reputation on defending the character of someone that Jeffrey Epstein described as having not one decent cell in his body.

For Americans concerned about the disappearance of the penny, it's been been gone in Canada since 2013 and no one seems to have noticed or cared. Cash purchases are rounded to the nearest nickel; non-cash purchases using debit/credit cards or devices are still rounded to the nearest cent like they always were. No one misses the $1 or $2 bills, either, and they've been gone a lot longer, replaced by the coins, "loonie" ($1) and "toonie"($2), which last a lot longer than paper currency and are cheaper to produce in the long run.

You do understand, don't you, that the Epstein Files are a cover-up for Trump's enrichment and financial corruption that is being manifested through his tariffs, crypto fraud, and redirection of US government funds to his family and enablers? And that his financial corruption is a cover-up for his destruction of the US Government, as directed by Russ Vought. And that the evisceration of our Government has focused on the emasculation of our Military, and that is a cover-up for his protection of his foreign allies, such as Vlad Putin and the Russians, who benefited from his money laundering of their wealth during his association with the Epstein Financial Scheme. And that his role of President of the USA (remember the home of the free and brave) is nothing more than a giant fraud to cover up all of his sexual depravity, financial fraud, and theft. You do understand, don't you, that our President has already been found guilty of 34 counts of tax and financial fraud. His Presidency is nothing more than a fantastic vehicle for his ongoing cover-up of his disgusting life.

Apparently, no one understood who this person was because we elected him President. But now you know. FAFO, my friends!

Dumb question maybe, but we know Epstein had this leverage over Trump- why wasn't he able to use it? Was the situation so toxic that even Donald Trump couldn't be seen helping him? Or maybe there was only one way Trump could trust him to shut up...

I don't know if Trump had sex with underage girls provided by Epstein. And I don't know if releasing the files would show that he did. The girls, now women, have not made this accusation.

But I think its pretty obvious that Trump knew a lot more than he pretends, and that the files have his name all over them. He's a sleazeball who at best chose to look away from what should have been obvious.

All of you---look at the link to "There are others." We are surrounded by slime. Covered in slime. Our elites are awash in slime. No wonder we're going down the tubes---and, honestly, Trump is just the tip of the iceberg. I don't know how we combat this. I don't know how the Epstein survivors still have the courage to come forward and demand justice. I guess if they can, we can. But this "problem" is---as Trump likes to say---huge. For anyone with a strong stomach, read Jenn Budd's post: Miss Me With Your Concern Over Epstein's Victims---on Borderland Talk.

Thoughts and prayers for The Don as his empire crumbles. Looks like deja vu all over again for the convicted felon who escaped prison courtesy of the notoriously fickle American electorate. With a little luck Project 2025 will give much needed support on the midterms as the lame duck waddles into history. And for a third term we have the distinct possibility of watching the same electorate choose a pedophile and a felon - a twofer if there ever was. Barnum had it right -there is one born every minute. Come on, people, prove me wrong. Please.

I wouldn't call them "elites". Elites are secure in their power and are able to resist anyone. What we have in the US are wealthy cowards who pretend to be powerful. The closest person to an elite is Jamie Dimon. When asked if he was going to donate to the ballroom, he said no, we have other commitments. Elites are confident, people like Bezos and Zuckerberg are just weak people with lots of money.
