This week’s comment prompt: What’s a meaningful thing you’d like to accomplish before the fall?

Walk a few steps on my new artificial leg! which will be ready by September (or earlier). Oh man, I can't wait. It's almost certainly going to take adjustments -- I've had many appointments already with these wonderful people, tinker with my stump of a thigh -- so I probably can't lug my artificial leg home till autumn, but the idea that I can walk a few steps: awesome!
Jim, I appreciate your moving to Cincy, where you're much better able to give The Bulwark a Midwest perspective. And fervent thanks for continuing to share the story of Springfield's Haitian community with the rest of the country.
What's happening in Springfield is an epic tragedy that that reflects the sheer stupidity of this administration's stance on immigration no matter the costs. To people, most importantly, but also to the economic health and vibrance of a city and region.
I've donated regularly to the Haitian Community Help & Support Center, and most recently began donating monthly to provide continuing food donations for families in need.
As to what meaningful thing I want to accomplish before fall - my partner has been gone since early June, visiting his daughter in England. I'm doing a room by room (and basement) winnowing and organizing project. My neighborhood's Buy Nothing page has been full of contributions from me. I hope to finish everything but the basement before next week ends.
The basement may take me the entire month of August :-)
Comment prompt: One meaningful thing I'd like to accomplish before the Fall? Besides select $$$ which I'll donate to selected folks/groups for the mid-terms, I'd like to settle on at least one thing I can physically participate in with comfort, to help point our country back to normalcy and away from MAGA/Heritage Foundation political control.
Thank you to Jim and the entire team at The Bulwark! The work you are doing is critical and extremely helpful in keeping us informed regarding the world historical times in which we’re living.
Not only should Jeanine Pirro resign, but also Doug Bergstrom for allowing his staff to lie about and withhold the facts about the reflecting pool “damage”.

Thanks for the round up. So helpful.
Jim, tried to give St Vincent/Springfield $ but it wouldn't take one time donation. I'll call them Monday thanks for links
