I appreciate your coverage of Minneapolis after you came here. These kind of stories don't get covered anywhere else, but definitely capture what is going on here.

Rupert , Thanks for the truly heart warming report. Dignity is one the greatest traits of the human race, it's so sad that its the hardest to achieve.

That was incredibly moving. Martin was so matter of fact in his righteousness. It was refreshing and inspiring. I appreciate your sharing it.

I know this is a weird question, but why did they need gas masks? Were agents harassing them?

Thank you so much for this. This focus on peace and healing is exactly in line with what has been nipping around my consciousness. What a wonderful healer is Kakwa Gaa Bimosed. Thanks for introducing him to us.

Thank you for this excellent story and platforming Kakwa Gaa Bimosed's voice and messages. On Bluesky, I saw some clips of native Americans dancing in some of the protests, and also saw that several were detained by ICE. Last news I heard, 3 of the 4 people from the Olglala Sioux tribe who had been detained are still missing and their whereabouts unknown,

This is why we will win, and I don't mean "we" as in any specific political faction. I mean "we" as in human beings of good will. It is not possible for a good person to see this and see evil in it. The energy is too pure, the sentiment too universally sound. The richest men in the world are transparently miserable, focused on death, on money, on delusions of space, god-machines, and race science.

Meanwhile John Martin keeps a fire, and in so doing he knows he is richer than all of them. That's why we will win.

It's worth reiterating: ICE detained several Native Americans in Minneapolis. Let that sink in, they are in fact native to the United States, and even with the poor quality of our public education, the Gestapo agents should have known or been able to infer this.

Could not appreciate this more. Thank you for sharing this important part of the unfolding story in Minneapolis. We need more stories from healers of all kinds. 🌺

Thank you, Mr. John Martin for lifting prayers of healing and peace for the people of Minnesota. May the spirits of your ancestors protect you.

Thank you for this beautiful profile.

John and the others maintaining the peace fire remind us of the humaneness missing from so much of our discourse today. He also reminds us of our shared humanity, which so many of the policies of the Trump regime trample on.

Trauma doesn’t have to beget trauma, apparently. People can find their way out of it, usually in community with others who aspire to a better world. Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s good to cry tears of gratitude instead of the tears I cry so much these days.

Thanks for this Rupert. It would be great if the Bulwark could get even more perspectives from this nation's Indigenous people, in Minnesota and elsewhere. They have been targets of this Administration's ICE actions because of the color of their skin. What else explains that? Targeted raids. I think not. Keepers of this land before all of us.

I couldn't agree more!
