Congrats to Joe for catching Matt Walsh in the act! Can you investigate whether he registered under a false name and is that a crime at an event that's secured by the Secret Service?

Kathleen Weber's avatar

Is there a finder's fee in that for Joe?

Security around conventions is insane. I remember in 2008 in Denver I walked with a buddy who was a New York delegate to the Pepsi Center. But once you get close you have to have full credentials.

He is stupid but I doubt stupid enough to use a fake name he probably had to get some sort of press pass or guest of another right winger.

Somebody said it's not hard to get a floor pass if you have one or two connections. But yea, no way anybody's getting a weapon thru there.

Well, maggot dumpers infiltrated a DNC breakfast this morning, if that tells you anything.

Zemtar's avatar

Took me a second to realize you werent just referring to trump supporters, but to literal maggot dumpers

Maybe some of the more astute billionaires have noticed what happens to billionaires in Russia and China who step out of line. The rule of law benefits all of us.

Wearing a red cap that says anything puts me in “red alert” mode now. My husband won’t even wear his red Formula 1 hat for fear of being mistaken for MAGA.

GlenD's avatar

Thus the Harris/Walz cap (I've ordered three: one for my son, my wife and me) is in camo. Not a prayer of being mistaken for MAGA crap and subtle enough to be hard to notice as political at all.

First, little mustaches. Now, red hats. Dictators ruin everything.

Ingrid Robertshaw's avatar

I had a red ADIDAS CAP..I chucked it

Larry B's avatar

I had a red hat that read CANADA that I got at Roots in Vancouver. It's been retired for ages.

My neighbor (who knows his way around Fallujah) wears a red hat almost every day. In the font you'd expect appear words you mightn't: 'Make Lying Wrong Again'.

I thought it was very odd to have Pritzker speak on the same night as Bernie, but even more bizarre to have head of AmEx speak at all. Big tent I guess?

I did love JB's burn of "real billionaire" on Trump. He knows exactly what will gall Trump. Their history goes back to the pandemic and I think JB truly hates TFG.

Chennault is highly respected (for a capitalist) and often speaks on and acts in support of diversity, anti-poverty, etc.

Matt Walsh seems weird and creepy.

Sheri Smith's avatar

For sure! What kind of creeper talks about teenage girls that way? I suspect he has significant deep seated issues.

The IRS also welcomes whistleblowers who can earn between 15 and 30% of the recovered proceeds. A lot of the whistleblowers are ex-spouses and ex-employees.

Steven Insertname's avatar

George Cowan should put that in an ad and run it on Fox News.

Dave Yell's avatar

So that is who Matt Walsh is. I didn't know who the hell he was in the Cheap shots picture.

The title for that opening section is GOLD. Five stars. No notes.

Matt Walsh incognito! What a great 'GET'. That outstanding investigative work gave me a huge chuckle of happiness today. Thanks Joe. Evidence that feverish pursuit and an eagle eye of a truly professional journalist has no equal. Magnificent.

I think Andrew Breitbart was the original troll that tried to rile up Democrats and then film the reactions deceptively edited without the initial footage.

Well after this is done Ben Shapiro Matt Walsh JD Vance and JD Vance’s couch can get back to their no girls allowed Friday nights. (No sign needed since no female would go within 1000 feet of them anyway)

Wow, Donald Segretti would be proud. The good ole GOP never changes very much. I’m sure this is only the tip of the GOP dirty tricks iceberg.

As I was reading about the whistleblower, I was reminded of Travis McGee…

If John D McDonald were still alive he could write another book . I always learned a bit about some niche business activity when I read one of his books —preColumbian gold, stamp collecting, real estate…

Reg. the article (great by the way, thanks for the tip): Too bad Overum hasn't gone after Trump.

Ingrid Robertshaw's avatar

I read that convention folks found MAGGOTS in their breakfast food served in the FAIRMOUNT ...the FBI. IS ON IT! NOW there was that creepy guy lurking ...wasn't CHARLIE KIRK there too..TRUMPISM MUS BE ERADICATED...

SnowWhite's avatar

That’s disgusting. 🤢

Thanks for finding the SOB Walsh.

This action by Matt Walsh bespeaks and clearly shows the deceitful, sick nature of Trump/Republican/MAGA (TRM) world in not even having sufficient guts and decency to idnentify himself as a non-neutral pod-caster, to asking non-insane questions of Conventioneers

In all likelihood for the answers he may receive would be completely skewed to idiotic lies on his pdscast as additional red meat to an MAGA animal group starving for hatful rhetoric as their nutrition.

American and foreign psychiatrists, psychologists, social scientists and average citizens in dozens of western democracies have posited that it is improbable that a sensible dialogue, even discussion of disagreement can be had with TRM person(s) based on veriiable truth and facts, not "alternative facts", which puts any comity or political healthy mental connection out of human reach.
