Or perhaps you meant “Punctuation is important.” In that case it would be assume you were reflecting on the lack of a hyphen between either the first and second word or between the second and third word and how that hyphenetic absence leaves the reader clueless to what the author specifically means. When trying to have us recall Emily Wilson, you shyly mentioned she was involved with the “engagement ring” fracas earlier this year. It took me 15 minutes of needless research time before I realised who you meant. We would have all immediately recalled her if you had just said she was the one who got fingered in the lobby of a TPUSA meeting while everyone watched. Allegedly, of course.
