I am not indulging in my native German schadenfreude, but, I am also not going to express *any* sympathy for those two. They are both cynical ladder climbers, and at a certain point, cynical ladder climbers run into Ms Karma. They threw their lots in with a genuinely terrible human being in 2016. That individual is the Seinfeld BMW of American politics, and that stench attaches to all who come into contact with him. Now, if those two have children, I do feel somewhat sympathetic for those children, but as for Mummy & Daddy, here is my view--in German, there is a saying "Once you make your soup, you have to eat it".

I have no idea of the allegations against Matt Schlapp are true. But all I need to know is that Trump is speaking at CPAC in March. That alone tells me that Schlapp has no integrity or morals. As the saying goes, "it takes one to know one." Schlapp and Trump are made from the same mold.

Maybe, one of the GOP evangelicals can cure Matt Schlapp of his attraction to young men - but knowing how much Matt resembles a pedophile, I wonder if his wife Mercedes continues to share a bed with him - now that she knows who he really enjoys being under the cover with. Just sayin'...

Nice to see one of these vile characters get their just deserts.

Wonder if Orban will let him back in to Hungary? You know what he thinks of "those people"

Maryland and DC are on the same side of the Potomac…

Al Brown's avatar

True, but National Harbor is on the far (Maryland) side of Oxon Cove, a small inlet on the left bank of the Potomac between Maryland and the District , so in a rather tortured way it can be interpreted as "across the river", if somebody really wants to.

Anybody with eyes and a modicum of awareness could tell the man was, in the very least, playing both sides of the fence…..as it were.

Also, location for the event….Gaylord…..chef’s kiss!

So, what does this mean for CPAC? Can it continue without Matt Schlapp? Is so, who would lead it? If not, how much longer before the nutjobs start a similar enterprise?

TW Falcon's avatar

They already have a similar enterprise. It's Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA.

“We did get a reach-out from them,” Matt Gaetz said. “But he didn't guarantee a reach-around, so I don’t know.”

Matt's avatar

In my mind I inserted “around” for “out”. Perfect “Full Metal Jacket” saying.

Word is that he's too old for Matt anyway.

I know drag performers who wear less make-up on camera than Gaetz...and yet, he still manages to look pastey. Maybe he needs to call Raven and be taught proper technique.

"allegedly"

I'd bet the farm on this one. (And I actually have a farm.)

They eat their own.

Always.

What goes around comes around. Schlapp and his wife Toyota will get what they deserve from Washington. Crap eventually dries up and blows away.
