Yes it was worth it - if you didn't read it we would have thought it was a well-crafted letter speaking directly about the Ukrainian children, when it was not...thankfully Zelenskyy was shrewd enough to take it up and use to remind people of the abducted Ukrainian children for which Putin has been named a war criminal. Zelenskyy's wife writing a letter was a stroke of genius...despite the stupid Melania letter, the abducted children was raised to the forefront and helps paint Putin in a bad light - the rest of the world sees it - but US citizens are far behind, so this helps....imagine letting this war criminal into US soil...boggles the mind...he can't go anywhere in Europe, Canada etc because he will be arrested as a war criminal...but Trump puts out the red carpet - the US public is I hope ashamed of that spectacle....

Agree that it was totally worth 15 minutes. I felt a little bit different about the letter—Melania seems to have some sympathy for Ukraine and I appreciate every factor that pushes in that direction, even if the letter didn’t mention Ukraine and seemed naive and silly.
I had difficulty believing Melania expressed concern for bombing hospitals and the children of Ukraine in the first place. She is so completely absent from her role as First Lady. Those "comments" were likely fabricated to "fill the void." I much prefer her absence. The Trump-like signature on the letter was yet another sloppy error in judgment and very revealing that she had nothing to do with the letter. The "AI slop," as Tim rightly called it, makes that apparent, too.
